Khumbu · Imja valley
Nepal's most popular first 6,000 m summit.
Imja Tse — Island Peak — is the classic introduction to Himalayan climbing: a glacier approach, a fixed-rope headwall and a knife-edge summit ridge deep in the Khumbu.
Island Peak (6,189 m) is one of Nepal's classic 6000m objectives, climbed from a base camp in the Imja valley with a careful acclimatisation plan and a strong local climbing crew.
We run it as a fully guided expedition — fixed lines on the technical ground, experienced Sherpa support and generous summit windows — so you can focus on the climb itself.
