1. Deposit and balance
To confirm a place we ask for a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the Trip price. The balance is due 45 days before departure. For bookings made within 45 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.
2. How to pay
We offer two ways to pay for your Trip:
- Card (Stripe): pay securely by card at checkout. Your booking is confirmed automatically once payment succeeds.
- Bank transfer: transfer to the account details shown at checkout and upload your proof of payment. Your booking moves to "awaiting verification" and is confirmed by our team once we have matched the transfer, usually within 1–2 business days.
3. If you cancel
Cancellations must be made in writing. The cancellation charge depends on how many days before departure we receive your notice, calculated as a percentage of the total Trip price:
- More than 60 days before departure: deposit (20%) is forfeited; the rest is refunded.
- 60–45 days before departure: 30% of the Trip price.
- 44–30 days before departure: 50% of the Trip price.
- 29–15 days before departure: 75% of the Trip price.
- 14 days or fewer, or no-show: 100% of the Trip price.
Where we can recover costs from suppliers we will pass any recoverable amount back to you. This is why comprehensive travel insurance with cancellation cover is mandatory.
4. If we cancel or change
If we cancel a Trip for reasons within our control (for example insufficient numbers), you may choose a full refund or transfer to another Trip or date. If a Trip is cancelled or cut short due to Force Majeure — weather, natural disaster, political events or similar circumstances beyond our control — we will refund amounts we can recover from suppliers, but a full refund cannot be guaranteed.
5. Transfers and amendments
You may transfer your booking to another person or to a different departure date, subject to availability and any supplier charges, if you tell us at least 30 days before departure. An administration fee may apply.
6. Unused services and early departure
No refund is due for any part of a Trip you do not use — for instance if you leave early, turn back, or a guide requires you to descend for safety reasons. Any extra costs arising from an early departure (such as additional transport or accommodation) are your responsibility.
